Acts…………

Acts 1:8

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

This is our mandate fellow believers.   Not one we like necessarily.  Why?

We have to love those who are not lovely.

We need to do the ethical thing even when a relationship may suffer.

We need to forgive when the other person does not deserve forgiveness.

So be it!  Christ leveled the field when He came, died, rose again, gave Acts 1:8 to His disciples.  Oh!!!  And patience!!!!!  Another area we are not good with.

Christ was talking way above what the Disciples could hear/understand/respond to.  But they knew “something” was going to come into their lives IF they waited as instructed.

They did.  The Holy Spirit came and landed on each of them.  And the world has never been the same.  Nor should it.

Now.  It is our turn.   We are His witnesses……

In Jerusalem, (in Phoenix, where I live). (In your town where you live).

In Judea, and Samaria, (in Arizona, where I live).(In your State where you live.)

And to the ends of the earth. (Everywhere.  Missionaries leave relatives, their beloved culture, all of the warmth of “home” and conveniences).

Our mandate: Be witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ.  What has He done for you?  Know Him. Believe in Him. Let the world around you – – – your little world – – – see Christ in you.

Don’t be meally-mouthed. Know that you know what He has done for you.  Always when someone points to “you” as their “little Jesus”.  Immediately point them to Scripture and away from you.

Be there to love, to help, to shine, as a brilliant lighthouse to someone who is floundering in the tsunami, grasping for any straw of hope.  Believe me!  Jesus Christ is all the Hope they will need.

If you have a Blog – always keep Christ in the Center and witness for Him.  If you cannot mention one thing He has done for you personally, you don’t know Him.  Think about that!

In His Hands.  Marge H.
