Today was the 5th of July

And the Bible Reading for the 5th was the famous Psalms, 21 – 25.  These are so special, especially  22, 23, 24.

Psalm 22 foretells Mt. Calvary.  Psalm 24 foretells Mt. Zion (2nd Coming) and then sandwiched in-between is the beloved Psalm 23.

Psalm 23 is the “Valley” between the two mountains, Mt. Calvary and Mt. Zion.

Psalm 23, David writes about himself mostly until vs. 4b and then he begins to talk directly to the Lord.

Do you remember the three words that we took a deeper look at not many days ago?  Sin..Transgression..Iniquity.  David uses all three of these words in Psalm 25,  vss.7, 11, and 18.  Of course by the time we are over into Psalm 51, David is inhaling/exhaling these three words.

We are reading 5 Psalms a day – it won’t be too long before you will be there.  Check yourself on the definitions of the three words and then take the time for a stop-over to get the definition in your mind each time you see the word so you can see the proper definition for each and also for your own personal time of talking with your Lord.  We all – every one – without exception have these three “words” in our lives.

Til next time….  Marge

“Nobody ever outgrows Scripture; the Book widens and deepens with our years.”

Charles Spurgeon
